Ciao, friends! My name is Dani and I am a flutist based out of New York City. If you're reading this, thank you so much for being here! I have been given an amazing opportunity and I would be so grateful for your help in capitalizing on it. The Trentino Music Festival is a four-week intensive orchestra, opera, and chamber music program in the Dolomites Mountains of northern Italy, and I have been invited to participate with a full-ride scholarship this summer! After graduating with my Masters degree, this is the perfect opportunity to continue my training and make new connections internationally to further my career. I am working hard to make this happen, but I am in need of assistance.
Fundraising is and will always be a large part of being an artist, and I would not ask for your help if I did not believe this was completely necessary. By supporting young artists like myself, you help bring beauty, education, community engagement, and connection to the world. The arts bind and fill us! I am so passionate about what I do and how deeply my art can affect people, so in order to reach as many people as possible- I cannot afford to pass up an opportunity like the Trentino Music Festival.
Now I know what you’re thinking- free ride? Why is she asking for money? Great question, I would love to tell you! Airfare, room/board, and a month away from work are not included in the scholarship that I was awarded. I will need $3,000 in the next two weeks to make this trip possible. I have lived, worked, gone to school, and paid the steep rent in New York City for two years now, which was an invaluable experience, but also means I am very low on funds. I am working two jobs and reaching out to administrators, donors, arts organizations, and more to gather funds for this opportunity with no luck so far.
