My sister Dani recently received news that she'll need immediate eye surgery to save going blind in one eye. Dani has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 5 and while she's done great to get it under control over the years, damage has still been done.

As life goes, large expenses will always happen when you're down. At the minute she is between jobs with insurance that just barely gets by. She's also currently paying back a ER bill/hospital stay due to insulin resistance and a new insulin pump. It's been a long year already to say the least.

My goal with this fundraiser is to hopefully cover the surgery and help relieve some of the stress. If not all of it, a good chunk could still give her some breathing room. If we manage more, the excess would go to paying off the hospital bills and her pump which would be amazing as stress is diabetes worst ally.

I'm so thankful that Dani is surrounded by such a supportive community. From what I've gauged, I really think we can help her out and as a big sister, I am beyond grateful to those of you who can donate or share. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
