Hi, my name is Dani, I’m an EMT instructor apprentice working hard to give back to the EMS community that changed my life. As someone with a learning disability, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate EMT school—and that’s exactly why I’ve dedicated myself to helping others like me succeed. I work tirelessly to support and teach future EMTs, even while making minimum wage.
Recently, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, which has led to multiple hospital stays, ongoing treatment, and significant medical expenses. This illness has not only affected my health, but also my ability to work and stay on track toward becoming a certified EMT instructor.
I’m asking for help to cover the mounting costs of care, recovery, and the time I’ve lost from doing what I love. Any support you can give—whether financial or by sharing my story—will help me heal and continue supporting the next generation of lifesaving EMTs, especially those who learn a little differently like I do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
