Help Dani Fight Stage 5 Kidney Failure

To say our family has been through a lot is an understatement. It’s not easy writing this, nor is it easy asking for help, but I truly believe my mom deserves it. After losing both her dog and husband to cancer in the same year, followed by her son being diagnosed with schizophrenia, my mom, Dani Majewski, has not had it easy.

Recently, she’s been diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney failure. Dialysis will begin soon while she waits for a kidney transplant. Medical bills have already started flooding in, and this is only the beginning of a long and strenuous journey.

Up to now, Dani has been living alone and geographically isolated from family. To help minimize her stress with prioritizing her health, she is also embarking on an indefinite move to Georgia. Moving costs alone are overwhelming, but we find it necessary so she can be close to her daughters through this healing journey.

We’re asking for donations to help with the immense amount of medical bills that will come along with getting her back to good health. I want my mom to be able to focus on getting healthy without stressing about how she can afford the treatment required.

**UPDATE: 

About a month ago, my mom had her port surgery—it was tough on her, both physically and emotionally. After a difficult ER visit not long after, she was trained to begin dialysis at home. 

Now, thanks to the tireless support of my sister and aunt, she’s starting to settle into a nightly routine—6 hours every evening hooked up to the machine, just to keep her going until we can find her a kidney. 

This chapter has been hard, but we’re taking it one day at a time. Thank you so much to everyone who’s donated, shared, or sent love. Your support means the world.
