If you're here, you've likely been following the over three year journey Danielle and Steve have been on to beat cancer. To say the least, having cancer is expensive.
Now Dani will be undergoing Y90 treatment for the tumor that has been growing on her liver, metastasized from her breast cancer. Thanks to the American "health care" system, the insurance company has determined that they know better than Dani's medical team and have twice denied her for this treatment that is proven to kill this type of tumor. Because they say it's not effective for treating breast cancer. But Dani's cancer is SO RARE that there is no proof that it doesn't work, and by all accounts from her oncologists, will work on the liver tumor.
The tumor is getting bigger, quickly. It grew 25% in about five weeks and shows no signs of slowing. This is an emergency medical intervention. It hurts Dani to laugh. Just imagine. Not being able to watch Elf this holiday because it hurts too much to laugh!
It will cost over $100,000 to get the surgery done. which is happening on Dec. 21, 2023. On top of everything else, and anything else yet to come this is an enormous financial burden.
Please give as much as you can so we can help Dani and Steve pay for this surgery. Think of the mental load that will take off of them. How it will help create positive space for their healing journey. Also, it's the holidays, and they haven't had a REALLY good Christmas present in several years. Meeting our goal would really put Santa to shame!
Thank you so much for your help. We feel so blessed to have this community of support and love. Dani is our daughter, sister and friend. She's everything to us.
Much love and happy holidays,
Janet, Gareth and Alexis
