Help D'Angelo Family

Hi, I'm Nina D'Angelo. My brother was in an accident on February 25th, 2022, involving a paramotor while on vacation in Florida. His intense fall landed him in the ICU in critical condition down there. As you can imagine, receiving that phone call miles away was truly gut-wrenching, not knowing what the outcome would be. We immediately flew down that same night, awaiting any positive result. Fortunately, we have come a long way since February 25th, but our days ahead remain heavy and unknown. With the support of a generous charitable entity, we are hoping to fly Drew home to continue his care eventually. However, his surgeon/doctors have prohibited him from being transported until he is stable and a treatment plan is in place after his surgeries are complete. He has received an intense amount of surgeries already and has more to come. Drew has suffered the loss of a kidney, a shattered pelvis, lungs collapsed, severe bruising to his back, internal bleeding....the list could go on. And the bumps in the road remain.

With my family not being from Florida, this has taken quite a toll. One should never have to experience the pain and heartache of this horrible accident. The main focus should be on Drew's recovery and that alone. Not hotel bills, airfare, missing work, etc. On top of this, my brother still has a long road ahead of him, including future surgeries and physical therapy. We are still hoping and praying for a positive outcome and eventually getting him closer to where we live for easier access to Drew.

To know Drew is to love Drew. He would do anything at the drop of a hat for his loved ones. When I finally got to talk to Drew, I told him he needed to come home because his 3-month old baby nephew needs his uncle, and I need my brother. Drew could not speak or open his eyes, but a tear rolled down his face.

I know this is an ask that Drew or my parents would never ask for. But I am asking. Because I NEED to be their strength right now in any way I can be. But I alone cannot help to cover airfare, hotel stays, or any other out-of-state expense that may pop up. I welcome any donation that would directly go to my parents, so Drew can have the around-the-clock support he needs.
