I've lived in my neighborhood for 16 years and raised two children here, both of whom are now adults. My home has always been a place of comfort and stability, but everything changed recently.
After ending a six-month relationship, my ex set fire to my shed, which is connected to my house. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a knock at my door and the sound of my doorbell, only to find my backyard in flames. Nineteen fire marshals responded, and the story even made headline news. The fire caused severe damage, and the Red Cross was only able to provide me with brief hotel support.
Less than 24 hours later, my ex set my elderly parents' car on fire. Then, on April 10th, my ex returned and set my home on fire again in the middle of the night. Now, my home has no electricity or water, and the heavy smoke damage means I haven't been able to stay there since. I've lost so much in such a short time, and it's been overwhelming to face this alone.
Donations will help me cover the cost of temporary shelter, food, clothing, gas for my car, furniture, and household supplies so I can start over after losing everything. I'm asking for support from my community to help me rebuild my life after these devastating events. Any help is deeply appreciated. God bless.
