If you don't know my daughter DaNell is battling breast cancer and her insurance sucks. The Dr's have decided that chemo then surgery then radiation are her best option. She Has Had, Without exaturating, at least at least 12 different Dr's app ointments at 100 dollars a copay each timein the last 3 weeks. Not including a heart test that was $500. 2 days ago the breast surgeon calls her to come in and tells her they're just goingto do surgery because she cant afford the chemo.and says where's your mom and sister they should be here. One of us has been to every appointment with her. Sometimes both of us. He gave her a 2 hour notice. We where both working. She called Lisa and put her on speaker phone .Lisa asked Dr is her best plan of action still chemo first. Yes was the answer. Then that's what we will do! But we have to pay $780 every treatment. We have covered everything up to this point other than heart test still owe some on that. TUESDAY SHE HAS SURGERY TO PUT A PORT IN FOR CHEMO $1300.her responsibility. Worded that wrong, our responsibility because we are in this together . That Thursday chemo starts at $780. She will have 4 rounds of chemo 3 weeks apart. Only good news about her insurance is once she reaches $9000 copay everything thing is covered 100%even reconstruction surgery. At this point I believe we're at around $2000 copay. I'm not one to ask for help but at this point we sure can use some. The oncologist told her and I today this doesn't include medicine she needs to prescribe that has an $800 copay and because of her insurance she can't even perscibe it until after first treatment. In the mean time, she cleans houses as a living and does very well with it but several of her clients have dropped her because of all her Dr's app ointments.
