Call for Action – DANE Advocacy
We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our community. Thanks to your contributions and dedication, we are thrilled to announce that our organization has recently been awarded a $98,000 grant! This grant is a significant step forward in our mission to support survivors of sexual violence. The Governor’s Office awarded $1.2M to support Sexual Assault Services across Arizona, and Deaf Abuse Network and Education (DANE) Advocacy was one of the organizations chosen to expand sexual assault intervention efforts and increase support for survivors.
As the only agency in Arizona exclusively serving Deaf survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence, DANE Advocacy is honored to be selected among the organizations supported by this crucial funding. We have been working tirelessly for the last two years to build a robust organization that will positively impact the community through supportive services.
While this grant is a tremendous opportunity, we have encountered a logistical challenge that requires your immediate support. Our agency must pay for services and staffing three months in advance before we can submit reimbursement requests to access the grant funds. This means we need to secure the initial funding to cover these costs upfront—a challenge that could delay the start of our vital programs.
Your donation today will directly enable us to bridge this funding gap, ensuring that we can begin providing services without delay. The funds we raise from this campaign will be used exclusively for allowable expenses under the grant. After the grant cycle, these funds will continue to support future reimbursement-only grants, which is how most state and federal grants operate. This is a critical moment—your support will have an immediate and lasting impact on our community.
Together, we can ensure that no Deaf individual experiencing sexual violence must face it alone. Please consider donating today to help us reach our goal and begin these critical services. Donations can be made via our website, by mail, or through our online fundraising platform.
We are deeply grateful for your compassion and generosity as we work together to support Deaf survivors of sexual violence. Thank you for standing with us.
With deepest gratitude,
