My heart is heavy with grief as I share the news of Jamie’s unexpected passing this morning. Father of my children, love of my life, man who drove me absolutely crazy … he was everything. My absolute best friend. 44 years young. Son. Brother. Veteran. Mentor. Friend.

This is unimaginable and I’m so sorry I can’t let each of you know personally. So many of you had such an impact on him and I know he had an impact on you. He was a mentor, a leader, a coach, a companion … a defender through and through.

He lived with passion - vibrantly so. And if he had an opinion, you’d know it. But he loved so hard and protected his family so fiercely.

Jamie Richey, I will love you forever and then some. You will always be a part of our lives and I will never let your boys forget how much you loved them.
