Help our very own TVHS and SDSU hurdler and alumni, Danae Dyer, go to the Olympics!!
Danae's dad, her greatest supporter and number one fan, unexpectedly passed away last year from a heart attack. His death left their family devastated. Life without her dad has been tough in so many ways, and the financial burden for her and her mom has been a significant strain. Unfortunately, without her dad, it was extremely difficult to decide whether or not she would continue her career in track. But just one month after he passed, Danae went on to win the Mountain West 100m hurdle championship for the third time.
Her dream has always been the Olympics, but she just wasn't sure she could do it without her dad. After the championship, it took Danae 6 months to decide to train for the Olympics. Since then, she has been training in her 100m hurdle event.
Danae just ran a qualifying speed of 12.98 seconds that landed her a spot in the Olympic trials! This is her shot!
Danae needs your help. She has to both work and train, and though invited to the trails, she will not get paid as an athlete. In fact, she will need to pay her own way to go to the out of state trials.
We are asking Temecula and SD to send their very own athlete to the Olympic trials!
Danae needs your support to get there and pursue the Olympics. Please consider supporting her financially as she seeks to live out her dream.
We are urgently trying to raise funds for her, as she needs to make all her travel arrangements A.S.A.P !
Trials will be held June 21-30, 2024. Danae will travel on the 24th and then compete the 28th-30th.
Her father would be so proud!
