Dear friends and family,
As many of you know on Sunday May 30th I was in an accident while on my way home from a barrel race at Triple Crown in Lincoln. I was on 65 just after wheatland when my trailer hitch broke and sent my trailer rolling into the ditch with my horse in it. It was my first trailer which I saved the money to purchase by myself and it is now totaled. My beloved horse that was in it sadly passed away. I rescued fireball (my 10 year old off the track thoroughbred) last august. He didn’t know much rather than to run but he had the biggest heart and best personality I have ever seen in a horse. He was truly my best bud and quite the goofball. He had a way of always making people smile while sticking his tongue out or making silly faces. We were finally starting to become a great team, in fact the night of the accident we had our best run yet. I am very happy to say that my last night with him was the best I could ask for and I know he passed with a belly full of treats and his head laying in my lap. Fireball taught me so much and gave me so much unconditional love in the short time I had him and I will never forget him for those reasons.
I have been around horses for as long as I can remember and I don’t want to stop now, I know Fireball would be happy to see me get back into it. From gymkhanas to working at a ranch over the summers to highschool rodeo I have always had a huge heart for horses.
Now that I am trying to get back into it after my accident I would greatly appreciate any type of help so I can get a new trailer and look into leasing a horse or hopefully buying one for my senior year of highschool rodeo. I appreciate anything and everything you have all already done for me. I thank you all for the support and love it has definitely made my mental recovery process a little easier. My goal is to raise enough money for a more dependable and safe trailer and enough for a new horse to ride. If you have any questions or anything to say please feel free to reach out to me at (danae.keeney.9) on Facebook.Thank you.
