My name is Dana, and I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan with CIEE’s Study Abroad Program for High School students. This is a dream come true for me, and I’m determined to make the most of it—not just for myself, but for my family as well. While my parents are able to help cover a small part of the costs, I want to avoid putting any more financial burden on them. That’s why I’m reaching out to my community for support.

The deadline to cover the remaining balance for my program is April 1st, and I’m hoping to purchase my flight soon to avoid paying higher fees as time goes on. The funds I raise will go directly toward my program fees, travel expenses, and an additional fee that will allow me to earn college credit and add it to my high school transcript. This experience means so much to me—not only will it help me learn, write, and comprehend Japanese, but it will also allow me to grow as a person and continue exploring the beautiful places around the world.
