Help Dana Secure Safety, Freedom, and a Second Chance
Dana has been through more in the past four years than most people experience in a lifetime. She fled Mexico to escape her abusers, seeking safety and hope in the United States—only to face more abuse after arriving here.
On July 2nd, Dana courageously escaped her abusers once again and has since endured multiple court appearances as she fights for protection and justice. Despite the trauma she’s endured—emotionally, mentally, and physically—Dana continues to show incredible strength and resilience.
She is now focused on rebuilding her life. Dana is in her senior year of high school, attending therapy sessions, and working closely with both a therapist and an attorney to apply for a U Visa, which will allow her to remain safely in the U.S. and build a future free from violence.
Dana has no family here or in Mexico to turn to for help. We have been able to provide her with shelter and basic care, and her school has stepped in to cover some educational needs. However, we need your help to cover the legal and application costs associated with her U Visa—such as attorney fees, FBI fingerprinting, and background checks to start the process.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help give Dana the safety, stability, and opportunity she deserves. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this GoFundMe to help spread the word.
Thank you, and God bless you for helping us give this brave young woman a chance at the safe, peaceful life she’s fought so hard to find.
