My mom, Dana, needs urgent open-heart surgery (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) and will be unable to work for a significant time. As a housekeeper, her job is physically demanding, and without an income, she cannot cover her basic living expenses. We are humbly asking for your support to help her recover without the crushing weight of financial stress. This surgery is crucial for her health and future, but the recovery period is long. Her doctor has made it clear that she will be out of work for a significant time. For someone whose livelihood depends on physical labor, this means she will have no income while she heals.

Like so many of us, my mom lives paycheck to paycheck. She is the definition of resilience, but she has no safety net, no savings to fall back on to pay for rent and utilities during this difficult time. The last thing she should be worrying about as she faces a major heart procedure is how she will keep a roof over her head or the lights on.

This is where we are hoping you can help. We are starting this fundraiser to create a buffer for her to cover living expenses for the next few months so she can focus on one thing and one thing only: healing.
