My name is Priyanka, and I am deeply disturbed by the suffering of the innocent Palestinian people.

I am reaching out to you for your support in providing hope to a beautiful girl and her mother from Gaza, who lost everything but still hold onto hope.

I am heartbroken for every single story of Gaza’s victims, but the story of Dana and her mother, Nour, moved me to turn my grief, anger and pain into action. I could no longer bear feeling helpless.

Last month, I watched a video of a beautiful 9-year-old girl from Gaza named Dana, who lost her arm and her family when the Israeli occupation bombed their building. I am sharing this video with you.

After trying tirelessly to reach Dana’s family, I was fortunate to get in direct contact with her mother, Nour, who lost her three children, her sister, her in-laws, and multiple nephews and nieces. Nour is also caring for her 7-month-old nephew, Mohammed, who lost his entire family in the massacre.

I cannot imagine the unbearable pain they carry after losing their loved ones and their home. This is why I committed myself to supporting them in every way possible.

Dana and Nour have now been safely evacuated to the UK, where they are finally away from daily danger. But their journey to healing has only just begun. Dana will need long-term medical care, trauma support, and a prosthetic arm that will allow her to regain functionality and confidence. When I spoke with Dana, she told me that all she wants is her arm back. I am committed to helping her receive the most functional and beautiful arm possible.

While we cannot bring back the family members she misses so deeply, we can help her rebuild her life with dignity, care, and love.
