Help Dana Fight Cancer & Hold On to Hope
Donation protected
I’m reaching out on behalf of a beautiful couple in our church, whose journey over the past two years has been filled with heartache, hardship, and unwavering faith. Dana is a loving, God-fearing woman who has been courageously battling uterine cancer since early 2022. After undergoing chemo, radiation, and a full hysterectomy, she briefly entered remission. We all rejoiced, believing the worst was behind her.
But exactly one year later, the cancer returned—this time in four different places.
Dana’s fight hasn’t just been physical. During her first round of treatment, she lost her job after her short-term disability ended - before she could transition to long-term coverage. She and her husband nearly lost everything. After regaining a previous job and finding a stable apartment, it seemed life was on the upswing. But then came the devastating news of the cancer’s return.
Over the past year, Dana has endured relentless treatment—infusions every three weeks at Texas Oncology, daily chemo pills, and regular trips to MD Anderson. She’s in constant pain, sick to her stomach, and struggles to eat or stay awake. A recent car accident has left them with a totaled vehicle and new pain for Dana as a result of a cracked tailbone. And through it all, she’s clung to her faith.
Here's where you're needed. After recently inquiring about short-term disability to cover her medical absences, Dana's employer terminated her. She now faces this battle with no income and no insurance.
Her husband shared this with me:
“I’ve lost so many to cancer, and now I fear I’m losing the love of my life. Watching her in constant pain, barely able to eat or move, breaks me. We’re trying to stay strong, but we’re tired. The devil is attacking our family, and we don’t know what else to do.”
That’s why we’re asking for your help. All funds raised will go toward:
- Medical bills and ongoing treatment at Texas Oncology and MD Anderson
- Insurance coverage or COBRA continuation
- Basic living expenses (rent, groceries, utilities)
- Transportation for treatment
Please pray for Dana and her family, and if you’re able, consider giving. Every dollar makes a difference. Let’s surround them with the love and support they need right now.
Thank you for helping them hold on to hope.
