Help Dana Complete Her Medical Journey After War Devastating

Dear Friends,

We are Mahmoud and Dana, and we need your help to rebuild our lives and secure Dana’s future as a specialized doctor after the war in Gaza turned everything upside down.

After seven long and dedicated years of study, Dana achieved her dream of becoming a doctor in 2019, working in hospitals across the Gaza Strip as a general practitioner. That same year, we got married, full of hope for the future. Soon after, Dana embarked on another challenging journey: pursuing a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. This decision required an additional five years of relentless hard work, including over 95 hours of weekly training and handling around 30 childbirths every day. The sheer scale of the workload was staggering, but Dana’s dedication never wavered.

While Dana managed her intense schedule, I cared for our children and worked as a construction engineer. It was a tough, but beautiful journey. Dana passed her first specialization exam with distinction, and she was preparing for the second and final exam to obtain the prestigious Arab Board certification.

Then, the war broke out.

We lost everything—our home, our belongings, our savings. The final exam is approaching, and we need your help. The travel costs for Dana to take her final exam have become impossibly high because of the ongoing war. After five years of sacrifice and hard work, we are desperate to ensure that all that effort doesn’t go to waste.

Our youngest daughter Lama 1 year old was just 40 days old when the war started. Due to the bombings, we couldn’t even get her routine vaccinations, leaving us constantly worried about her health in an environment filled with diseases.

We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help us cover the costs of travel and exam fees so Dana can complete her journey to become a fully certified obstetrician and gynecologist.
