Help Dana and Her Sisters Heal from the Injustice of War**

> **“Mama used to say: *We just need a moment of justice to prove our humanity to this world.*”**

My name is **Dana**, I’m 17 years old, and I’m writing to you from Gaza.

Two months ago, I lost my mother — my safest place, my homeland — in a missile strike as we tried to escape from Beit Lahia to western Gaza.

That day, we were all together: **my grandfather, grandmother, aunt, mother, father, my sisters, and I** — running side by side, fleeing death, searching for safety.

But the war didn’t spare us. The planes fired four missiles directly at us.

**We were all injured.** Every one of us — including my grandparents and aunt — suffered painful wounds and **severe burns** in that attack.

My 3-year-old sister **Sara** lost her eye.
My 12-year-old sister **Rama** was critically wounded — shrapnel tore through her body, broke her hand, knocked out her teeth, and severed an artery.

I carry shrapnel in my own body.
My aunt was also wounded.
And everyone from our family still carries pain — in their bodies or in their hearts.

Now, we live together in **displacement tents in western Gaza**, without a home, without a mother, and without a clear future.

Sara wakes up crying every night, calling for Mama.
She screams on the phone when my father leaves her side:

> *“I don’t want anything. Just come here!”*

Rama, looking at herself in the mirror, asks me through tears:

> *“Am I not beautiful anymore?”*

No child should have to feel this way. No one should ever have to endure what we’ve endured.

My mother, **Lina**, only dreamed of one thing: **a moment of justice — a moment to live in peace.**
Now she is gone, and we are left trying to survive under a piece of fabric, clinging to whatever is left of our souls.

We are raising funds to cover:

* **Urgent medical treatments**
* **Reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries**
* **Psychological support**
* **Basic necessities of life**

Every donation — no matter how small — is a light in our darkness. It’s a step toward healing, and a step closer to the justice my mother believed in.

**We are not numbers. We are a family. We are survivors of hell — and we need you.*
