Help Dan With Double Retina Re-attachment Surgery

This is Dan Scoble, a good friend of mine for almost 40 years and an overall nice person.  Dan recently started having blurry vision in both of his eyes.  The ophthalmologist found that Dan had detached retinas in both of his eyes.  This requires emergency surgery to prevent loss of vision.  Dan is scheduled this month to have retinal re-attachment surgery for both his eyes, each on a separate day.  Dan was laid off this past year and will need to pay for much of this surgery out of pocket.  Please give whatever you can  Any help is greatly appreciated.
