Hi, my name is Meg Hartrey and I’m starting this fundraiser for my parents. Our family received horrible news earlier this month. My dad, who has battled cancer in the past, now has metastases to areas in his bones and lymph nodes. He started chemo immediately and has the best attitude you could possibly have in a situation like this. My dad, who has worked overtime or multiple jobs at a time for as long as I can remember to provide for his family, is now out of work indefinitely because of the pain of bone cancer and the side effects of the chemotherapy. His short term disability benefits are a major hit to my parents’ income, and we are asking for some help to get my parents through this winter where they’ll have maybe half of the income they normally would. Any money received will help majorly with mortgage, heat, electric, as well as the hospital bills for all of the treatment and appointments.
