For many years, Dan has given selflessly as a first responder in Road Rescue with Bendigo SES, and as President of the QLD branch of Partisans Australia, a PTSD charity for first responders, veterans, and their families. He also mentors and inspires others on their mental health and fitness journeys, always giving his time freely.

It has been a challenging road over the last 18 months. Dan suffered a major heart attack just a week after undergoing hernia surgery, followed by two major ear operations six months later. Despite these setbacks, his determination to rebuild his health and strength has never wavered.

Just 40 days ago, he set himself a powerful challenge: to step back on stage in bodybuilding, 10 years after his last show.

Last weekend, against all odds, he competed at the NABBA Queensland Championships and achieved incredible results:

Classic Bodybuilding Novice – 2nd Place

Classic Bodybuilding Open – 2nd Place

Class 1 Men (over 179cm) – 2nd Place

These placings mean Dan has qualified for the NABBA Australian Championship Titles in Sydney this weekend. If he can make it there, he has a strong chance of securing a spot to represent Australia at the World Championships in the UK just two weeks later.

This opportunity has unfolded very quickly, leaving little time to prepare for the costs of travel and competition. That is why we are reaching out now for support.
