Hi there, my name is Riley Day. My best friends name is Dan Bucur and Dan is going through the toughest part of his life so far. Dans dad’s name is Vasile Bucur and they moved to Canada when Dan was 4 months of age. Dan and I met in the 3rd grade and ever since then we have been inseparable. I was over at Vasile and Dan’s house almost every night after I met him. Vasile was a single parent who demonstrated an Impeccable way of raising his boy and myself, although I wasn’t his blood he absolutely treated me as such. Vasile raised Dan into the smartest, most intuitive, responsible, and independent individual I have had the pleasure of meeting. Dan moved to Toronto a couple of years ago and Vasile stayed here. Through those years Vasile experienced kidney failure and many other harsh medical conditions. On top of being separated from one another. About 2 months ago Vasile got an infection in his bloodstream that lead to his heart. Dan returned as soon as he could too spend his last days with his Father. Today August 3rd, 2021 Vasile passed away. Dan needs help, he is the most immediate family that Vasile had and also the last. The entire burden of putting to rest a family member lies entirely on Dan’s 20 year old shoulders. Something that nobody should ever have too do at that age. There are vast funeral expenses including having to send Vasile back to Romania for burial. Please help Dan as much as you can, every little bit helps and every cent will go a very long way.
