Help Dan Overcome Medical Debt After Loss

On July 17, 2024, one day after their 41st wedding anniversary, Dan was forced to say goodbye to the love of his life Barbie, after an unexpected hospitalization due to complications with her longstanding illness.

Approximately 7-8 years ago, Barbie was diagnosed with PAH with scleroderma, a progressive and terminal illness for which there was no hope of recovery. Over these past several years, Barbie fought with a warrior's spirit, enduring many hospitalizations, doctor's visits, and routine disease maintenance appointments, including weekly fluid drainings, and, recently, dialysis.

Barbie's extensive medical needs came at a high cost physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. Although her passing came far sooner than any of her loved ones were ready for, we are grateful that her suffering is at an end. Yet, now Dan is left not only with the loss of his dear wife, but also a mountain of medical expenses.

While we cannot help ease the grief that comes with losing his spouse, Dan's family is simply requesting for anyone who feels lead, willing, and able, to donate towards Barbie's extensive medical expenses to help carry Dan's burden as he moves forward in his new reality.
