Hi! I'm Dan Pyxel, your local Emotional Damage PhD, Actual Play Performer, and AAPI Nonbinary content creator.

It's been a rough 2026. This year began with the combo of my company downsizing and getting laid off, and then my mother going to hospital almost immediately on top of it. For the last several months, I've been struggling to find a new job while also splitting my time to help my mother with getting surgery for her condition and several more E.R. trips.

The good news - My mother has gone through that surgery and is finally back to good condition!

The Great news - I got accepted to USC Thornton's Arts Leadership Masters Cohort! I'll be working towards my terminal degree with a focus in creating and sustaining an Actual Play company.

The struggle - I have to move across the country in two months with my savings completely obliterated by the events of this year. Because I'm moving by August, I'm also going to have a hard time finding any work to help fund the move, on top the debt I've had to accumulate just to survive without a job during this time. Additionally, this week my car decided to have a brake line malfunction, which is adding to both the financial burden, but also threatens to affect my ability to move.

So I'm hoping I can ask for your assistance in this endeavor - every cent goes towards this move and helping me set up for my future.
