Help Dan & Marsa Save Their Family Home
My name is Dan Epps. A couple of years ago, my wife Marsa and I were asked to be a part of a business deal that involved family. Naturally, being family-oriented, we agreed. Since it was a fairly new business, my wife and I decided to help out by putting our house and land up as collateral that we owned FREE & CLEAR for a business loan.
Not a wise decision after all. As time went on, the company leadership started failing, and the business started failing. Now the business is no longer, but the loan against our property is still in force. The “family” we got into the business with has declined to make their portion of the payments going forward to the lender. Now we are in a situation where my daughter, her fiancé, and son are about to lose their place they call home because these family members refuse to pay their portion of the note.
I'm 74, my wife is 68, and we are having to scramble to come up with this money so we don’t lose our house and property, especially having my daughter, who has just been through a three-year battle with breast cancer, and her family have to be uprooted because of a bad business deal. It just ain’t right. Now we are calling on the community that we have lived in for 74 years to help save my daughter's house and our property.
5-20-2025 update
after further negotiations a third of the debt was reconciled by one of the former partners. unfortunately the other two thirds are falling on my shoulders. the new bablance is 28,000. the total is lower but we still need a blessing.
We are humbly asking for your help.
Thank you, sincerely,
Dan and Marsa Epps
