Hi, my name is Dan, and I’m a passionate wheelchair user and para powerlifter with a dream: to represent Australia on the world stage at the Paralympic Games.
This December, I’ve been invited to compete in the Para Powerlifting Nationals in Melbourne—a crucial stepping stone toward qualifying for international competition and ultimately the Paralympics. It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase the strength, resilience, and determination that define para athletes like me.
But I need your help to get there.
Between travel costs, accommodation, equipment transport, and competition fees, the financial burden is more than I can manage alone. As someone living with disability, these extra costs add up quickly—and I don’t want them to be the reason I miss this chance.
Why This Matters
Powerlifting has given me more than physical strength—it’s given me purpose, community, and a way to challenge stereotypes about disability. Every lift is a statement: that we are capable, powerful, and worthy of the spotlight.
Competing in Melbourne means more than medals. It’s about visibility, representation, and proving that dreams don’t stop at barriers—they rise above them.
How You Can Help
I’m raising $3,500 to cover:
• Flights and accessible transport to/from Melbourne
• Accommodation near the competition venue
• Entry fees and equipment support
• Meals and basic travel costs
Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to the platform—and to the Paralympic dream.
If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means the world. Let’s lift each other up.
Thank you for believing in me.
With gratitude,
Dan
