Hello, my name is Vicki Swift and this will be my first time using this GoFundMe app. I am trying to raise money in order to make my husband's life less stressful since he cannot work.

Here is my story: My husband Dan has been on dialysis for over 8 years, and it has been very challenging for both of us. In March 2025, he was once again challenged with another life-threatening decision. He needed to have open-heart surgery, but per his cardiologist, the odds were very low that he would survive the surgery. He opted not to have the surgery, and he was given 1 year to live. Since this disturbing news, he has been in and out of the hospital, causing me to miss work with no pay. This has definitely caused a financial hardship for both of us since he cannot work.

On May 17th, he was admitted into the hospital because he had a heart attack. Once again, he survived, but he is declining quickly. Fortunately, he was given an electric wheelchair in order to get around, but then my car broke down. My wish is that he can enjoy whatever days, weeks, or months he has and not have to take the bus in order to get to dialysis or doctor appointments. This money would help to repair my car so he can have one less thing to stress out about. I understand that many are having financial difficulties, so if you cannot help financially, prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
