Help Dan Fix His Car & Attend Appointments

I hate having to ask for help like this, but I’ve been stuck in a bind all year, and I need help. I’m currently in the waiting process to get approved for social security disability for mental health and chronic pain, and I know this sounds crazy, but you’re not allowed to even work a part-time job (if you were able to) while waiting for approval. It takes an average of 18 months to two years, and an average of one appeal, for those that do get approved. I filed in February.
Meanwhile, I’m awaiting knee surgery, carpel tunnel surgery, and a stomach procedure. I have two therapists and a psychiatrist. A main Doctor, an orthopedic surgeon, a gastroenterologist, and a podiatrist.
I need help to get my brakes fixed on my car (about $400 in parts) so I can get to appointments, and get around to socialize, see my kids more, get to poetry readings, and try to hustle my art in public spaces.
The rest of the funds, if the universe allows me to obtain them, will help catch up my car insurance, finally get a mini fridge for my camper, get to my reading in Seymour, IN on 4/24 (I haven’t been to an in person reading in five months, the longest stretch in over a decade,) and restock on novels, art prints, printer supplies, paper and art supplies. (And there’s a couple of books I NEED to buy.)
I’ve had a few friends really help me out already this year, and that has totally saved my skin, and kept the cell phones on for me and my three kids and my WiFi running. But even with that help and all of my combined book sales, I’ve survived on about $1100 and a lot of generosity from loved ones these last four months.
This would be a huge boost for me right now. If you got a little to spare, I appreciate it, and as always, I’ll do my best to pass on the karmic goodwill to others when I can.
Love you all. Thanks for being my friends. Dan-
