My name is Dan Finch. I’m 54 years old, born and raised in Woodbridge, New Jersey, but has lived in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania where I raised my family. For the past 8 years, I’ve been battling non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, a serious and progressive disease that has slowly taken away my ability to work and provide for my family.
Each day has become more of a challenge. The simplest things take enormous effort, and though I do everything I can to stay positive, the toll on my body has been undeniable. I’ve now reached the point where a liver transplant is my only option for survival.
My wife, Rose, and I have been married for 24 years, and together we’ve raised three incredible grown children, the youngest only being 20. We’ve always done our best to support one another through these rough 8 years, but the financial strain of this battle has become more than we can manage alone.
Medical bills, transportation to hospitals, medications, and ongoing care are incredibly expensive; And that’s before even facing the costs of a transplant. That’s why I’m reaching out. If you can help in any way, by donating, sharing my story, or simply keeping us in your prayers, it would mean the world to me and my family.
This is a fight for my life, and I’m holding on to hope. With your help, I believe I can make it through.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
