I have a dear old friend, Dan Boyer, who has reached out for help, so I thought I would try GoFundMe and give it a go.

After 50 years as a professional chef, Dan retired in January 2026, looking forward to a peaceful and secure future. Unfortunately, soon after, Dan began experiencing severe health issues from Ozempic, which caused him to lose a significant amount of weight and lower body mass. This has made it difficult for Dan to walk and has resulted in losing over half of his income. As a result, Dan has fallen behind on bills and is struggling to keep up with everyday expenses.

On top of Dan’s health challenges, he has two rental units in his home that have added to his financial stress. One unit is currently empty and will require repairs before it can be rented out again. The other unit is occupied by tenants who haven’t paid him.

I’m reaching out to anyone willing to help. Dan is in fear of losing his home of 47 years, and at 70 years old, there’s no way he can get a job to make up for his losses, so I am humbly asking for anyone who can give him some support. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to Dan during this difficult time. He also needs to have a shower installed; the one he has right now is unsafe for him.
