We Made It Through Cancer!
This past year and a half has been absolutely wild. We’ll give you a run down:
February 2024 - we found out the house we had been renting for about 5 years was going to be sold, and we had to move.
April 2024 - closed on our amazing home (yay!)
May 2024 - Camille was diagnosed with agressive breast cancer (Camille’s 3rd cancer diagnosis)
July 2024 - June 2025 - treatment
The time from diagnosis to present day has been a whirlwind of treatment (5 different surgeries total, 6 months of chemo, a month of radiation, multiple MRIs and crazy speciality medications), and thanks to the love and support of our wonderful community, we made it! Camille didn’t die and there were a lot of tears, but also a lot of happy moments and we really felt the love from all of you.
We are so happy to let you know we’re in a place where things are looking good - Dan is teaching a full studio, Camille is in a great place and rhythm with her HR work, and Selby and Margot are doing well in school.
We are so looking forward to this next season where we get to actually enjoy our new home, time with loved ones, and laughter. Camille is looking forward to decorating the house for Halloween and Christmas without the debilitating side effects of chemo, Dan is looking forward to fall bike rides and some cool work on the horizon, and the girls are looking forward to more Demon Slayer being released. Mostly, we’re just looking forward to life - the small projects, not the staying alive project.
We’ve got a lot of debt. We’re hoping you can help us continue to live into the future, helping us get out from the shadow of medical and credit card debt we’ve incurred.
Here’s to health and happiness to us all. Cheers!
