Please Help Me With Recovery After Devastating Accident
$346 raised of
Hello, my name is Damond . I am 34 years old and live in Las Vegas. I’m starting this fundraiser because I need help paying for back surgery after I was hit in a car accident.
One moment I was living my normal life… the next, everything was taken from me by a car accident I never saw coming. Since that day, every part of my life has changed. I live with constant, sometimes unbearable, back and neck pain that controls what I can and can’t do each day and be the father I want to be for my 7 year old son, Demetri.
I can’t play with him at the park. I can’t pick him up or hold him the way a father should. I used to go to the gym, stay active, and work every day. Now there are times when the pain is so intense that I get stuck between standing and squatting — even trying to get up from the toilet can be a painful, exhausting struggle.
I currently receive RFA treatments on my neck to cope with the pain, but these are only temporary and must be repeated over and over. My doctors have confirmed that I now need major back surgery. The estimated cost is well over $600,000.
Because of this accident, I lost my car, fell behind on everything, and eventually lost my apartment. I was unable to work for over eight months before I finally began receiving disability. At the time, I was working under Amazon contracts, which made the liability and insurance process extremely complicated.
My attorney is still battling the rideshare company’s insurance. They have accepted responsibility, but the settlement process has been slow and difficult. While the legal process continues, the pain and financial strain does not stop.
I am starting this goal to help cover:
• Medical care and procedures
• Part of my back surgery expenses
• Rehabilitation and ongoing pain treatment
• Basic living expenses while I recover
• Transportation and stability
It’s hard and humbling to ask for help. But I am doing this for my health, my future, and for my son. If you can donate, even a small amount, or simply share this fundraiser, it truly means more than I can put into words.
Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for helping me get one step closer to a pain-free life.
