On Sunday, October 20th, Damien complained of a headache in the morning. By the time his route delivering packages for Amazon was done, he could barely drive, having developed blurred vision, dizziness, tingly limbs, neck pain, and increased pain. It was his last day at Amazon with a new job to start the next day. Being stubborn but wanting to feel better for the new job, he was forced to go to Urgent Care at his mother's insistence. A migraine was diagnosed, a shot and Tylenol were given, and he was told to sleep it off. By the next morning, he was unresponsive.

A very long 18 hours later, he was moved to the neuroscience ICU with suspected bacterial meningitis and was put on life support in critical but stable condition in a medically induced coma.

With no health insurance and now no job, this GoFundMe campaign aims to support Damien in covering medical bills, a prolonged hospital stay in the ICU, extensive tests and imaging, medications, and loss of salary.

He's fighting for his life. When he wins that fight, it would be amazing if he didn't have to worry about how he was going to support his family of 4 until he's back on his feet.
