Update: Damien will be going back in for surgery Thursday afternoon to have his arm amputated. There was too much damage for them to be able to save it. We will update when he is out of surgery and awake.
For anyone who would like to help. Damien was in an accident. His left arm was almost completely severed off. The family is at Shands children’s hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He had surgery Sunday morning in which they were able to reattach most of everything. This morning they are not able to find a good strong heartbeat in his hand. so they are going back into surgery to look over everything to see what is going on. Still more surgeries to come after this one. Damien and family will have to spend months at the hospital for observation and recovery. Any amount of donations will help go towards medical cost, food, hotel room, house hold bills, etc.. considering the parents are having to miss work to be with their child that is in need! In the midst of all this they still have a toddler to take care of as well. Anything is greatly appreciated. We understand that not everyone can do a money donation so prayers are appreciated as well.
Damien has always been an outgoing, full of life, adventurous outdoor enthusiast. This has been heartbreaking to see someone with so much life ahead of them face such a significant challenge.
