Help Damien find his mission to clean up the lakes

Donation protected
My name is Damien Gould and I am a 15 year old that is on a mission to clean up Martins Point, Sabattus Lake, Cobbosseecontee Lake and the surrounding areas in Maine. I put myself thru diving school and next year I am able to take the next step in advancing my diving ability. You never know what you are going to step on when going into the water. I have found TONS of trash. It is important that we keep Maines rivers and lakes clean. No Name Pond is closed to the public. I can not fish there even though it is close to my house. I do not want that to happen to the places I can ride my bike to. I ride 3 miles every day and dive to find little treasures of lost fishing items or trash at Martins Point. There is so much trash. I love to dive and fish. I love being able to go to the public beaches. I don't love the trash. The trash you leave can hurt the animals. Your in their habitat.  Everyday I throw away bags of trash and keep some of the things I can reuse or that are cool like the old bottles. I think it is important for the enviroment that we keep our lakes and beaches clean. I use a metal fishing magnet and get chunks of broken metal out of really deep areas. I am trying to get everything I need to continue to clean up items left behind. I will be using this money for diving a BCD , a regulator, dive gauges, masks as well as saving for the Search and Rescue Dive Certification Class available when I turn 16 years old. Diving is a passion of mine that I am sharing with my friends. I think this is beneficial to everyone that uses the beach. Who doesn't like taking a swim with their friends and family? Martins Point is perfect for picnics, swimming, diving, fishing...but not everyone remembers that we all share these places. If you've ever been there you have seen the ducks. It is our job to keep these places open. It is our job to clean up after ourselves and after others. Not everyone can dive and get their fishing lures in deep water. I like diving. I am not exactly sure what I want to do when I graduate. I am planning on starting with the Police Academy and then later going to become a Game Warden. The outdoors is a big part of my life. It would be a shame if places started to limit or close the areas I am able to ride my bike to with my friends. My friends want to help. Keegan and I ride our bikes everyday to do this. Everyday people thank me for cleaning up. It is nice to be thanked but I do this because it is the right thing to do. I want to continue to ensure glass, hooks, trash don't end up hurting those going to the public beaches. I will get as much of it out as I can. To do this though I need your help. So please sponsor me in cleaning up the Maine beaches and water. I appreciate anything or anyway you are willing to help me. Please follow me on here and see what I am doing daily. My Parents taught me that one person can make a difference. I want to make an impact. I want to continue my passion of diving united with cleaning up the environment. I will make a dent in cleaning up the stuff left behind in our Maine waters. Next time you go to the beach remember to throw your trash away. You can make a difference. Together we can make a difference. Thank you.
