As a transgender person and community advocate, this care is not just medically necessary—it’s critical to my well-being, safety, and ability to live as my fullest self. The time of this surgery is crucial, as I made 5 years on testosterone, and with that comes a risk of increased cervical cancer as a transgender man. Meaning, the quicker I can achieve this surgery, the better. I hit a lot of financial obstacles after being the primary caretaker of my late father, who passed from cancer 5 months ago.

Unfortunately, the costs of surgery, follow-up appointments, and ongoing care are beyond what I can afford, even with insurance.
