I don’t know how to start or where to begin. Or how am I even going get through writing this but I need to ask all of our friends and family for your prayers for my husband Damian.

A little under 10 months ago Damian began to feel unwell regularly tired fatigued shortness of breath unusual for 41 year old normally healthy man, with a lot of testing eventually it narrowed down to a bone marrow biopsy. We got the results that nobody ever wants to hear, damian was diagnosed with rare blood cancer MDS leukemia. We were devastated and in complete disbelief. Prognosis was not good 3-4 years, and progression was likely and fast. With new advance treatments maybe 8 years we were told. November 15th he started a clinical trial things started well but his health began to decline rapidly, he began suffering from uncontrollable high fevers . Recent bone marrow biopsy showed aggressive advancement into AML leukemia he was admitted to hospital Dec 20th clinical trial was stopped due to fevers and he started to have pain and severe swelling in his leg. As of today he has been 6 days in icu with no improvement doctors are scrambling to find the right antibiotic to fight this infection, we cannot begin induction chemotherapy with an infection.  Without chemotherapy Damians health will decline rapidly advanced aml leukemia prognosis survival is less one year.

All raised funds will go toward medical expenses. We are a small family of 3, with very young child who immigrated from Dublin Ireland  15 years ago we made Pittsburgh Pennsylvania our home, without any extended family here in USA  we know the mammoth task ahead of us and  I ask from the bottom of my heart to please pray for Damian, pray for us
