On Monday, October 12, 2026, DaMata Barbershop, a small business in East Somerville, was destroyed by a fire.

For a small business, an unexpected event like this can change everything overnight. Beyond the physical damage, it can mean uncertainty, interrupted work, and the challenge of figuring out how to move forward.

DaMata Barbershop is part of our local business community, and now we have an opportunity to come together and show our support.

East Somerville Main Streets is helping organize this fundraiser to support DaMata Barbershop as they navigate the aftermath of the fire and begin the recovery process.

Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference. If you're unable to contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and neighbors is another meaningful way to help.

Small businesses are an important part of what makes East Somerville feel like home. When one of them faces a difficult moment, our community has the power to stand beside them.

Let's help DaMata Barbershop get back on its feet.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
