Hi, my name is Damani.

I never thought I’d have to ask for help like this, but right now I don’t have another option. For the past year and a half, I’ve been living out of my car while working hard to get back on my feet. My car has been more than just transportation it’s been my home and my sense of stability.

A week ago, the transmission went out, and now I’m facing the reality of not knowing where I’ll sleep or how I’ll get to work. Fixing it is far beyond what I can afford on my own.
