Help Dalton find his voice-A Christmas gift for a little boy.
Dear friends, This Christmas season we're asking for your help to make a Christmas gift come true for 13 year old Dalton Adams. Imagine not being able to say the words "Merry Christmas" to your loved ones, or not being able to tell your mom and dad that you love them. Imagine feeling trapped inside your own mind, unable to express your pain, joy or even your own basic needs. For Dalton, this is his reality. Dalton is an extraordinary young boy with a heart full of love but his ability to communicate with the world around him is limited by the effects of autism. He is unable to express himself in ways most of us take for granted. His parents, Dustin (Dusty) and Cody Adams, are deeply devoted to him and have spent years doing everything they can to help Dalton thrive-from specialized therapies to attending schools that cater to children with autism. yet, despite their best efforts Dalton still struggles with communication and comprehension. The hardest part for his parents is the uncertanity about Dalton's future. They worry about what will happen when they're no longer here to care for him. Their greatest hope is that he will one day be able to connect with the world-to speak, to understand, to be heard. They want to ensure that he has the opportunity to live a life full of possibilities, even when they are no longer around to advocate for him. Recently, Dalton's parents discovered a groundbreaking treatment being offered by a doctor in Florida which has shown incredible promise in helping children like Dalton break through the barriers in their brain that keep them from communicating. This treatment could unlock new pathways in Dalton's mind giving him the chance to speak and understand in a way he's never been able to. While the hope of this treatment offers is immense, the reality is that it comes with a hefty price tag that is not covered by insurance. The family has an appointment with the doctor in early February but they need our help to make this life changing treatment a reality for Dalton. Please help them achieve this for him. Your donation, no matter how small, could help Dalton receive the treatment that could open up a whole new world for him. Please help them help Dalton find his voice. You are giving more than a donation-you are giving Dalton the possibility of a brighter, more connected future. With much gratitude, Belinda McAdams
