Help Save Dallas
Dallas is a 13-year-old little lady. A couple of days ago, I noticed a slight change in her behavior and went to the vet because I knew something was wrong. After I got bounced from vet to vet and made many phone calls, I ended up at the ER with her. The vet said she was constipated and dehydrated and maybe had signs of kidney disease. They gave me medication, a $600 vet bill, and sent us on our way. I was told if she did not poop within 24 hours, I would have to bring her back. Everyone was hopeful that everything would be okay. Now, sadly, that wasn’t the case. Even though she went back to acting like herself, the fact she hasn’t pooped was terrifying. We took her back to the ER and they told us surgery was her only option and quoted me $3500-$4000 I sadly did not have that so they transferred me to a different ER a hour away that could work within my budget. The ER she is with now is wonderful and they are doing everything they can for her this does turn to a slightly happier story the new vets have told me with her blood work that there is no signs of kidney disease or failure and the only thing they said is wrong with her is her constipation and that as of now it does not require surgery which was a relief. Even though Dallas has made AMAZING progress the deposit I put down on her care is not enough. I don’t know how much longer she will need care everyone is hopeful that she’ll be home soon
I have tried the options the vets have given me and reached for help in my personal circle of life I am now hoping others will help me and Dallas out
