Help with Dale's Open Heart Surgery

Hello, my name is Jake Dively and I would like to raise funds in order to help assist my father with the cost of his unexpected open heart surgery, which is to be performed by Dr. Katz in Jupiter Florida within the following few weeks. My dad, Dale Dively, has been an incredible dad to my four siblings and I for over the course of our entire lives, always making us laugh and smile, or offering stern but wise advice when needed. My dad has supported me and my siblings over the course of our entire lives by working in the restaurant business for 45+ years as a Chef. He has always made time for each of us and forged many good times into loving memories for us to look back on, regardless of how late he would get home or how early he had to leave. Five different walks of life have always had a safe space to go to in times of need through my dad. Being a Chef for 45+ years isn't the most fun nor is it the highest paying of jobs as I'm sure anyone working in the restaurant business can attest to, however, my dad has a passion for the craft and gains enjoyment from the relationships he has made with the people in the industry. I could go on about how awesome my dad is, and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind (Hi, dad. Me and Ash love and miss you [he doesn’t know about this GoFundMe yet but I know he is bound to find it]), rather I’ll inform you why this page was even created.

After 45+ years of tireless days and nights working in the hot kitchen and creating those unforgettable dishes of fine food and everlasting friendships, the high stress and high anxiety work environment has finally started to take a toll on my dad physically. Within the last couple of weeks, my dad discovered he would need open heart surgery after feeling ill and visiting the doctors due to a strange feeling he was having in his body. Luckily we were able to catch this misfortune before it caught us. Going forward my father is going to be set back for a significant amount of time, which is going to create a financial burden on the household. No gesture, big or small, would go unnoticed in these times of need. Any donation will be unbelievably appreciated in these hard times when money is tight. Because of the unexpected nature and seriousness of this surgery, my father will take at least a month off of work to recover without pay. In addition, he also needs to meet the $10,000.00 insurance deductible and afford the medications he will now be on; all of this just as my dad got back on his feet from the Covid quarantine crisis.
