** UPDATE** Tests have confirmed Dakota has Lymphoma as the doctor suspected. They have provided a referral for an oncologist for a treatment plan. Once I know more I will update but right now I I am beyond heartbroken.

Three weeks ago, I noticed Dakota became unusually lethargic. She stopped eating her food and even her favorite treats, which is so unlike her. She also started having accidents in the house, but there was no pee—so I suspected a UTI. After being treated for Giardia with no improvement, things only got worse. Today we went to the vet and learned that Dakota has an enlarged spleen and swollen lymph nodes in several places. The vet needs to run bloodwork, fecal testing, and diagnostic imaging to find out what’s going on. The costs are overwhelming, and I simply don’t have that kind of money right now. I’m heartbroken. Dakota has been my constant companion since I moved to Florida over 10 years ago. She’s my best friend, my family, and my everything. Seeing her like this is devastating, and I just want to do everything I can to help her feel better. The funds raised will go directly toward Dakota’s bloodwork, fecal testing, and diagnostic imaging to see if she has lymphoma, as the doctor suspects, and if so, to help with her treatment. If it turns out to be something else, the money will be used to find out what’s causing her symptoms and to get her the care she needs. I am beside myself right now and reaching out for help because Dakota means the world to me. Any support, no matter how small, would mean everything to us.
