Hello friends and family of the Murphy community, my name is Raven Mitts and I am hoping to help my baby sister in a tremendous way. My incredible sister Dakota has been blessed with bringing a little baby girl into the world. Dakota and her boyfriend Jacob have been so excited to welcome their little angel into the world, even when they were told that she was a high-risk pregnancy and would need constant monitoring to ensure she could arrive safely.
Due to the baby being so tiny, measuring 5 weeks behind, limited blood flow through the cord, and being breech, Dakota had been going to 2-3 doctor's appointments a week: the high-risk specialist in Chattanooga, the regular OBGYN at Union, all to make sure baby girl was okay. Being admitted to Erlanger Chattanooga twice to monitor baby for 3 days. The constant drives back and forth to and from doctors and hospitals, missing work left and right to make sure their baby girl is okay. The cost of living being so expensive. The debt accumulated. And then, admitted again to Erlanger Chattanooga for monitoring. This time, at 33 weeks 5 days. While in the hospital during an NST to monitor baby, her heart rate drops to 80 at 3 AM. Nurses and doctors rush in to inform Dakota and Jacob they need to do an emergency C-section to get baby girl out and into the NICU.
On June 13th, by the grace of God, they welcomed baby girl Marceline into the world. Now, recovering from a C-section, Dakota will be discharged soon from the hospital, but Marceline will need to stay until the end of July. The Ronald McDonald House is full, they are unable to afford a hotel or gas to drive out to Chattanooga to see baby girl Marceline. I’m asking for help for my baby sister and my niece. Weighing only 2 pounds, this warrior baby girl and brave mom and dad need all the help they can get. Any donations are so greatly appreciated and will go towards the cost of bills, gas, and medical expenses for my new niece. Thank you all for your time and consideration and any help you can give. God bless you all.
