Help Dajiah Find a Safe New Home
Donation protected
Hey y’all — my name is Dajiah and I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to make one of these.
Recently my apartment was broken into. They stole from me, violated my space, and left me feeling unsafe in what’s supposed to be my home. This wasn’t just about the stuff — it was about the fear. The feeling of knowing someone forced their way into my space, where I sleep, where I’m supposed to feel safe. Since then, I haven’t been able to sleep peacefully. My anxiety has been through the roof and I just don’t feel protected here anymore.
I did everything right — filed a police report, reached out to my landlord — but nothing has been done to improve safety. They also let me know that the renters insurance that I’ve been paying every month won’t cover any of my stuff to get replaced, even though they led me to believe it was. Now I’m left in a situation where the only option is to leave for my own mental and physical well-being. But moving costs money — deposits, first month’s rent, transportation — and I just got hit with this out of nowhere.
If you know me, you know I’m strong and independent, but I’m also real enough to say I can’t do this alone right now. I’m asking for support so I can relocate to a safer place and start fresh. Every dollar helps — whether it’s $1 $5, $50, or just sharing this link. If you’ve ever had to rebuild, you know how overwhelming it can feel.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping me create peace again.
With love,
Dajiah
