About a year ago, we reached out to family and friends when Daisy injured her left leg and had to get emergency cruciate ligament surgery. We created a go fund me that helped us pay for that surgery. The doctor warned us that she might end up having the same surgery on the right leg because they found arthritis in her leg. Within three months after her recovery, she began to limp when running again. And as expected, she now has to have surgery on the right leg from overcompensating this past year. Even though the surgery was less than a year ago, the cost went up $1300, and now the total cost of surgery is between $8300 and $8700. This is way above anything we can afford. We did a lot of research- getting surgery out of town, looking for loans and special funds- but to no avail. Surgery is very much the same throughout the tri-state area, even though this is on the high end. Some places could not see her until late summer, and her leg is too unstable to wait. We want to see her running again by the end of summer.

We understand this has been a tough financial year, so we ask if you cannot give- send your warm thoughts and prayers for a safe surgery and a quick recovery. If you are able to donate- any amount will help us pay this off. Again many of you have already been so generous, and we completely understand if that's not possible.
