Daisy is our everything. Daisy is the most loving and energetic bundle of joy. She is only a year and seven months old . She had recently became severely ill. We have become aware of what has been going on with her through many tests. Daisy was diagnosed with Portosynthetic Shunt (also known as liver shunt). This is a condition where one or more abnormal blood vessels allow blood from the systemic circulation to bypass the liver where toxins are usually filtered out. Hepatic encephalopathy is a related condition in which toxins in the bloods begin to affect the brain. She was given antibiotics to get it under control however this is just the first stepping stone. She will have to receive a CT scan and have surgery. Without the surgery she will become ill again. This averages to roughly about $6,000. Those of you with fur babies I am sure you know how we feel right now. Any support is greatly appreciated.
