My cat Daisy is in need of emergency dental surgery to remove some loose and damaged teeth. I took her to the vet on Monday morning because for the first time ever, she hissed and scratched at me while I was attempting to clean her ear from a prior infection. She normally lets me do it just fine, so I knew something was up. I have a video explaining the full story here: https://youtu.be/JZyzqeAPn8I
She's unable to eat properly, and is constantly yelping from the pain she's in. She's normally a very social cat and loves to hang out in my room while I'm working, but since getting back from the vet she's been hiding a lot.
I currently have her scheduled for an appointment on March 27th (earliest the vet could do), but if I raise enough money that I can pay out of pocket at an emergency vet, I'll absolutely get her in sooner. To clarify, I set the goal at $2,500 as the vet hasn't given me a concrete answer on how much the extractions would cost. To get her teeth cleaned currently will cost $700, but that doesn't include the cost of teeth removal. A cat I've owned previously had to have teeth removed and it came out to over $2,000. Any and all money raised will go towards Daisy's medical expenses, travel to and from the vet, and maybe a treat for her when she feels better :)
Thank you <3
