1/28/26 PROGRESS UPDATE: we are at $850/1200 for the surgery!! I have received private donations and this is how close we are now!!
About a week ago, my sweet dog Daisy stopped fully using her back right leg. After rushing her to the vet, I received heartbreaking news: Daisy has a very aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. Her right hind leg is now rendered useless, and the only options are to put her down or amputate the leg and hope the cancer doesn't spread.
Daisy’s journey hasn’t been easy. Before she came into my life, she survived three different kill shelters, endured countless homes where she was abused and neglected, and even survived being used as a bait dog. Despite all the pain and hardship, Daisy has never lost her gentle spirit. She loves all people and animals, even while in immense pain. After everything she’s been through, I believe she deserves every chance to enjoy the life she’s always wanted.
Daisy loves long walks, playing near lakes, fishing, and doing anything where kids are involved—she’s a sucker for a good kid love session. My hope is that amputating her leg will give Daisy a more comfortable experience for her final months or years, and the ability to do the things she enjoys again. All funds will go directly to Glen's Falls Animal Hospital for her surgery and aftercare. I am covering everything I can with savings. Any help gives me the chance to have even just a little longer to see Daisy enjoy her 'retirement' days to the fullest. Thank you for considering helping Daisy live out her best life.
